Bridge Housing Corporation was established by HEAT*, a group of Island congregations, in response to the lack of affordable year-round housing on Martha’s Vineyard. Under its Land for Houses Program, Bridge will pass individual lots on to qualified applicants with continued affordability of the properties ensured by covenants. In the case of acreage, Bridge will get approvals for and build affordable apartments and condominiums, co-ops, or single-family houses that are well-designed for their neighborhoods.
