Wesley Nagy
Born: Cleveland , OH Wes used the 30 year plan to finally complete the Masters program with a MFS at USC [Los Angeles, CA] in 1995, having touched base with such higher learning institutions; Cleveland Institute of Music/Doris Cirigliano in Cleveland OH, USAE-SOM in Virginia Beach, VA, University of Louisville in KY, Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, Charlie Banacos in Gloucester MA, and Julliard School of Music in Manhattan, NY.
Along the way, Wes performed with: US Army’s 113th Mounted Armored Cavalry Band Mick Taylor [Rolling Stones] Ron Wood [Rolling Stones] Bo Diddley Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes Alex, James, Hugh, and Kate Taylor Lou Christy Stevie Ray Vaughn Magic Slim The Modes Lou Rawls Little Anthony, etc…
After completing USC, Wes worked briefly as a staff composer at the CBS ‘Bradford’ studio in Burbank, before being hired away by WG ‘Snuffy’ Walden. Wes went on to work on such TV shows as: WestWing [Emmy Nominated] Felicity [Emmy Nominated] Early Edition Drew Carey [Emmy Nominated] Cupid The Street Providence, etc…
Wes left Snuffy’s to branch out with fellow co-worker, Danny Pelfrey and went on to work on: Spin City The Daniel Stern Show Strong Medicine American Dreams, etc…
For health reasons, Wes & Lisa sold their home in Palos Verdes California in September of 2003, and returned fulltime to Martha’s Vineyard, where they had been married in 1990 at the Whaling Church. Wes continues to write and do small film and composing projects, recording in the studio, performing with area bands, and, of course, is the director of music for Grace Church.
