Will Pfluger began playing the guitar at age ten and has studied Classical, Fingerstyle, Jazz and Blues. He attended Berklee College of Music and received a Bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College. Mr. Pfluger has taught guitar since 1987 and currently serves on the faculty of the Cape Cod Conservatory. He also teaches guitar at the Grace Church. Over the years he has taught both private lessons and group classes at his home studio, Featherstone, MV Public Charter School and the West Tisbury School. Mr. Pfluger is a registered Suzuki guitar teacher. He welcomes students of all ages and levels. Mr. Pfluger currently plays Classical Guitar at wedding ceremonies and special events. During the 1970s and 80s Mr. Pfluger performed as a Singer/guitarist throughout New England and Florida. He played at clubs and coffee houses and was even the “featured act” at the Iron Horse Coffee House in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Since the early 1990s, Mr. Pfluger has focused on composition and solo acoustic guitar playing. In 2003 he released his debut CD, Half Moon Bay, which consists of 9 original compositions for solo guitar:

In 2007, Mr. Pfluger had one of his pieces, Horseman’s Pastorale, published by Chanterelle Publishing. The work appears in a compilation book of classical guitar composers from around the world.

Mr. Pfluger lives in Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts with his wife Vicki and dogs Nyima and Dawa.
